The PC hasn't been connecting to the net for about four days.

Fortunately, this morning, I tried out a possible solution to the problem. I turned off the firewall of the antivirus software. And it worked. The simplest idea... and it worked.

I can't believe I almost reformatted the darn PC.

So, later today, technicians from our ISP came here to inspect the godforsaken machine.

Do you know what the so-called "technicians" said?? They said the PC has been infected by a virus that prevents it from connecting to the net. Ooooh.... Wow. I'm sure used their cerebral cortex to search for a possible cause of this mess, composed solutions, criticized each of
them, made a matrix of gains and losses, considered the consequences of the act...

[Waw, ang labo nun ah. Naghalu-halong subject. Did you understand any of that??]

Anyway, maybe they thought complicated things like IP configuration problems, compatibility of hardware, and all that stuff.

They failed to think of the simplest solution. They thought too damn hard.

So, what have we learned from this story?

1. Keep it simple.

2. Experts can be quite stupid.
